A short, unplanned, stop at the water playground.

On our way to Latvia, we noticed a water playground just before the border. The original plan was not to stop anywhere, but the heat was great and the water playground looked inviting.

The water was beautifully clear, entry was €12 per child and they were all alone! We were quite impressed that it wasn't head to head in such a cool place. After fooling around for a bit, the kids disturbed a local viper that was hiding somewhere under the attraction I think. Cuba was a bit shocked, but then ventured into the water. So great!

We didn't get to see much of the town, but from what little we saw it looked charming. According to wiki, the area is called "Lithuanian Switzerland" and since 2008 it's been the cultural capital of Lithuania. So maybe we'll have time for it next time we visit.
